Skywatch Friday #4- Blue Creek Reservoir

Located on the Sand Creek Wildlife Management Area, north of St. Anthony, Blue Creek Resevoir is fed by a series of beaver dams.  Below Blue Creek Reservoir are four Sand Creek Reservoirs teeming with stocked and native fish.  With fall coming, the leaves will soon turn and it will be a beautiful golden color.

Wish I was there. We are going out to VanCouver BC though and the Island. The picture of your childhood homestead and family is great as I wish I knew more about my grandparents early life. As to grandkids pictures on the net we have the same policy for over a year and then daughter in law changed her mind after starting a blog of her own.

LOVE the photo of the trumpeter!! And I'm looking forward to updated photos as the colors begin to turn. I love fall in the greater Yellowstone area (actually, anywhere), and am ready for it now!

Your Remember Whenday story reminds me of Mari Sandoz's book about her homesteading parents (in the Nebraska sandhills), Old Jules. Have you read it? I recommend it very highly, though at times it's a difficult read because of her father Old Jules's personality.

Bill: That is a neat view of the hills by the lake and the neat sky.

This looks like yet another beautiful spot in your area. I'm going to try to remember some of these so we can visit them next time we head up Yellowstone way.
