We have had a lot of storms out on the high desert this past two weeks. This week I was out locating raptor nests for the BLM when I got too late, but caught the sun setting between storms. The first picture is taken at 200 mm while the second was taken at 70 mm.
A great way to end the day while in the wilds of Idaho.
Now, don't you appreciate all the clouds I send your way? Superb captures and, as you wrote, a glorious way to end the day. Thanks as always for your visit/comments! Have a great weekend, Bill!
Beautiful contrasts here of the hot sun and the dark clouds. I especially like the second photo with the hot orange clouds up over the dark ones. Exquisite.

That looks like a thunderous and yet beautiful sky. Have a great weekend~
Those are great shots. Sunsets never disappoint when I go to southeast Idaho.
Both sunset shots are beautiful, Bill. Hope you found lots of raptor nests.
