This evening after the snow had melted and it was still trying to spit on us, I got this picture of the sun trying to sneak through the clouds as it was setting.
The walk along the Henrys Fork of the Snake River was a great way to end another wild day in Idaho.

Beautiful colours Bill. Have a great get-away to Alabama!
Wow Bill I love this wild sky, and your header! What a bio you have. I will definitely follow your blog. Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting my blog today.
Bummer about the snow, but that photo is stunning. Looks like the sky is falling. Have fun and enjoy the warmer weather in AL.
Unusually beautiful photo - the colours are so dramatic.
Here in the Boise foothills we've been getting falling snow (nothing that sticks for long), hail, and rain mixed with gorgeous sunshine followed by high winds. Crazy wild weather in Idaho!
Simply amazing colors. Have a safe trip.
Sunny :)

Bill: Colorful capture under the storm.
snow in May...that's just wrong!
But look at the stunning photo that came out of it ;)
At least May snow doesn't hang around too long. Just raises the need for antidepressants. Have fun in Dixie.
Beautiful SkyWatch photo. Wonderful colors. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful deep color in your Idaho sky. You should get your fix of summer in Alabama! (If work lets you outside of the A-C bldgs.)
Beautiful and amazing sky!
Happy SWF and weekend.
Wonderful colours Bill.
And enjoy some warmth in Alabama!
We woke to snow in Colorado this monring as well. Made a great backdrop with the blue skies for the warbler fallout it created. Enjoy safe travels.
Wow, Snow again Bill! It's quite chilly here at the moment in the UK.
Also looking forward to sunnier days!
Have a good trip, eventhough it's work. Love the photo!
Gorgeous photo...same amt of snow here too yesterday AM, UGH. Funny you're going to Alabama...we may move there next year, AL or FL. Hope you enjoy your trip!
Gorgeous capture, glad that snow isn't here. Have a great trip!
I hope you don't swoon from the heat in Alabama! It's a shock to the system to change so fast. We went to B'ham two years ago and they were having a drought. Weirdest thing ever was to see everything brown instead of green. I think they are green again now.
What vivid colours Bill. You are so blessed with many great images in your open sky country... Wow, snow in May, I cannot imagine. Enjoy your journey to Alabama, hoping along with business, you can get in some photo fun~
Snow in May????? Yipes!!!!!! Beautiful picture though, Bill.... We're home from the beach and I'll post tomorrow. Have a wonderful day.
