SkyWatch Friday - Sunset

The prevailing wind bends the grass heads from south to north.  They become almost petrified by the winter snows with only the strong ones still standing as the snow receeds in the spring.

Look out from above!!!!  Thousands of snow geese invade Camas National Wildlive Refuge bringing with them enough "fertilizer" to green up the marshes.

Just another wild day in Idaho.

Snow Geese? How lucky you are!!
I appreciated your photo of the lone sprig of grass. But, hoping spring has sprung in Idaho as it has tentatively in Minnesota.

Wow, I've never seen a shot of so many geese. I bet they do green up the marshes.

The sunset shot is gorgeous. I like that your focus is sharp on the grass, the muted golds and yellows are a lovely background.

Gorgeous sunset! The geese should mean spring very soon.

For you you it may have been a wild day, but for us it was a very interesting day for Sky Watch. I love the lone little twig blowing in the wind.

I love the simplicity of the single bending head of grass. My husband thinks your header photo with the sun and fog is very interesting.

Two great shots, Bill. The first for its artistry and the second for its depiction of nature taking to wing.
