This picture was taken just seven minutes after the second picture of a sunrise over Rexburg. It is amazing how quickly the light changes during a sunrise and sunset. I was on my way to school when I encountered the beautiful sunrise.
Here are the Teton Peaks peeking out from behind the Moody Mountains.
Just the beginning of another wild day in Idaho.

What incredible colors and landscape.
Idaho is such a special state, I'm so glad I lived there, if only briefly.
Sunny :P
Beautiful color in your sunrise! Interesting to see the Tetons just barely showing over the closer mts.
These views are certainly worth getting up and heading out to school for!
Beautiful color and I really like the silhouetted trees in the first one.
Beautiful -- beyond words!
Love the bird post below as well. Always wondered how chickadees survive -- seems like they always get edged out at the feeders and also seems like they use up way more energy than they ever take in as they dart in and out for a sunflower seed.
It's worth getting up early for, though sunrise isn't so early these days.
Such beautiful colours. Fantastic.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
On one hand, I'm sorry you have to be awake that early and on the other glad you're up to take the photos!
Wow, such beauty! We can see no sunrise, nor sunset from our home being in a low valley, your morning must be delightful as are your evenings. I really like your new Golden Eagle banner Bill~
Some very pretty colours here! And love the landscape beneath such a beautiful sky!
Bill wonderful capture. Beautiful colors in your Tetons sunrise.
You are surrounded by beauty!
Beautiful colours :)
These are stunning photos! Sunrise is my favourite time of day...as scenes like these are so special
Wow What an amazing skies.
Great colors and beautiful captures!
Have nice weekend Bill.
You get the best sky pictures of anyone, Bill. And isn't it amazing how quickly the sky changes??? Wow!

Beautiful! I agree about the light changing quickly--I have been known to run for my camera when a good sky appears because I know it could be gone in seconds!
Our sunrises rarely look like this. I just love the first shot with those bare trees in the foreground. Beautiful SWF selections.
Superb sunrises Bill such glorious colours, and those trees contrast so well.
Gorgeous shots.
I haven't seen a sky like this since I don't know when. Glorious.
Gorgeous captures! I remember being able to catch the Tetons on a clear day between Pocatello and Idaho Falls.
Happy Friday!
I'll be in the Northern Range in just over a week! Won't get to the Idaho side on this trip, but I love it there - picture number 2 with the Tetons before the flaming sky is so beautiful!
I've been keeping an eye on the Henry's Fork web cam and caught a bunch of swans there the other day. Can't tell what kind, are they probably trumpeters at this time of year?
Bill: You certainly get beautiful winter skies. We get so many grey ones in Ohio.
colors. Sometimes I just turn to grab my camera and the color is gone. Our motto is "Be Prepared" oh oh I think that one is taken.
My SW is on my day4plus blog. MB
Beautiful photographs. I love it when the sun lights up the clouds as in the first shot, and the second one almost looks like a fairy tale picture.
My goodness those are wonderful - what an inspiring way to start the day!
Wonderful colors !
The photo of the peaks is amazing.
Another beautiful shot -- I love the one of the peaks.
yea isn't it amazing how fast the colors in the sky change. Love these ones.
Beautiful winter sunrise. Thanks for sharing your views of Idaho and the Tetons mountains.
I hung a pinecone bird-feeder but there doesn't seem to be any birds interested; perhaps its is too close to the house,-suspended from the backyard light fixture. I thought from a pine tree might be better but further away that I'd miss seeing the birds come.
