Sunrise - Just before the sun rises, the fog created by below zero temperatures are colored by the sun rays before the sun has risen behind the low east clouds.
The same day the sun colors the west sky as it sets below the western horizon as I watch for eagles to fly into the large cottonwoods to perch for the night..

Lovely skies, and I enjoyed yesterday's post, also. Now I need to find CNWR on a map!
The first shot looks like a tapestry, the colors are stunning.
Sunny :)
Beautiful skywatching in your part of the world. If I could see the sky here I wouldn't have to go to my New Zealand archives but then that would deprive others of a glimps of summer down under.
beautiful! we've been cold, but not below zero. not yet anyway. i can do cold & sunny tho.... looking forward to more eagle shots-
A good variety of colour in these . Both are lovely.
Beautiful sunset. Dramatic and colorful.
The Eagles winter over here in the Skagit Valley too. MB
beautiful sky shots! very inspiring to witness God's creation in moments photographed here.
thank you for the visit, Bill!
Very dramatic!
Beautiful hues and colors of your sky.
I love the sunrise sunset combination. Very beautiful.
Great skies Bill with lots of atmosphere, also love the previous post, must be great to live in Raptor Heaven.
Bill: Beautiful captures of the sky in you high country.
The first photo looks almost surreal. Bill, your eagle photos are fantastic.
Wonderful skies. And your eagle pictures oh my gosh! A whole treeful. Words fail me.
Wow--what tremendous sky pictures, Bill. They are truly breath-taking.
Betsy
Those are so beautiful!!!
Pretty impressive, also that you have access to an unobstructed view both to the east and the west. I have never seen bunches of eagles like the post below.
Heisann!
Wonderful to see some images with warm colors. Yes, it is really cold here now, warmer weather is soon coming, I hope!
Thanks for stopping by today. We also have eagles in our area of Ontario. Stop by http://lakeeriedaily.blogspot.com/
She is my sister and has posted some pictures of our eagles. Dick and I haven't caught ours yet for photos. (Work full time yet you see!)
Dick wants me to tell you that he's always wanted to visit Yellowstone. One day we will!
Beautiful pictures Bill, spectacular colors in the morning and evening. It was nice that you did drop by my blog, thanks for the comment:)
....lovely skies--we've been overcast for so long, I can barely remember what sunshine looks like! I'm looking forward to your chickadee shots.
