Changing Princesses

Living close to two four-year old grand-daughters and two two-year old grandsons and tending them on a regular basis, I have wrecked more cars and changed more princess's dresses than any grown man should have to.

I have been the Prince, the baby, the mean guy, the good guy and the battering ram for all the cars - but have enjoyed every minute of it.  Just more wild days in Idaho.  What a joy.  I feel sorry for grandfathers who miss out in the lives of their grandchildren.  We had all four of them today - and it was a wild day.

What a great joy and a privilege - lucky you're able to adapt to the many roles you have to play there Bill, I'm sure your grandies LOVE time spent with you :)

None of our grands (or kids) live near us, Bill. BUT--the grands are not little anymore. I try to keep up with them--but it's hard. I always envy those who live near their grandchildren.

What a fabulous grandpa you are. You're giving those kids precious life-long memories that will always be with them. Trust me.

You are so right, we have 6 grandchildren, all but 1 is nearby. I figure, while they still love being with us, we will covet this opportunity to have a positive effect on their lives. Joy Joy Joy!
