By mid morning I had my six kokanee, but none of the huge ones I got the week before.
As I was leaving several people recognized me and we talked fishing and ice conditions. The ice is still a solid 14 inches deep and still growing. This week are are predicted to get snow, rain and warmer tempatures.
The deer will be happy so see some of the snow leave also. On my way home I snapped this picture of mule deer digging stubble out of the snow. Hopefully they will make it.

Your fish look like they've frozen solid there on the ice.
Sure hope the deer can last through the rest of the cold weather. We've had more snow and cold than usual here, too.
I'm beginning to think this winter will never leave!
I have seen herds of deer here too - they need a good huddle to keep warm!
Its been a really tough winter on our deer here this year. They keep hanging around my bird feeders.

Hang in there Bill, I feel spring is coming soon, and while our winter can get bad, yours is brutal. Lovely pics, hope those Mule Deer survive as well~
Brrr -- pre-frozen fish! (That's a beautiful catch.) Your posts are always great and wonderful to look at, but must admit that this one does not make me envious ;>)
