The Lesser Goldfinch in my backyard has been really interesting for me. The male has not been very coopertive for me, but I did get a few acceptable pictures.
Mountain Chickadees have also been flocking to my feeders. This is the first year I have had these show up. The Black-capped still outnumber them, but their personalities are a little different from them. They are sure fun to watch.
A few moments of wildness in Idaho.

You have been busy. Love the bright yellow goldfinch to brighten up any day. Have seen a few chickadees around here this year too for the first time. Maybe I'm just finally noticing them.
Glad you're not dead. I'm your neighbor to the south now that we moved to Bountiful. I hope you'll still let me come birding with you to Camas NWR.
I'm certainly glad to hear you're still alive and kicking up there in wild Idaho. the bird pics are beautiful. Hope you can keep up with all of your many activities without feeling too pressured.
Don't think I've ever heard of the mountain chickadee -- the other kind are favorites!
I'm always happy to see a new post from you pop up on my Google Reader -- you sound incredibly busy. Thanks for sharing a few moments of your day.
Nice to hear from you again, and to see your feathered friends.

Well, well, well, there you are back indeed and with lovely winter colours in these birds, just outstanding.
Guess that you have seen that I finally got some images of an Owl, though not what I had always hoped for, I accept it all the while.
Hope your busy clock gives you a break so that you are with us for a bit as we miss you Bill!!!
Sounds like you have been far from death! Must be that time of year, I just realized it had been over ten days since my last post as well. Glad to know your yard birds are bringing a bit of nature to you while you are busy with other activities.
