I took and helped teach an outdoor class on June 23-25.  On June 25, we studied wildflowers in the Big Hole Mountains and Teton Canyon.  Here are a few of the beautiful flowers we saw.  See if you can identify them.

Number 1.

Number 2:

Number 3:

Number 4:

Number 5:

And my favorite:

And to end another wild day in Idaho, we were greeted by this "four-eared" moose.

Beautiful wildflowers. Your photos are all awesome! I need a guide for wildflowers. Love the moose, one of my favorite wildlife critters. Is #2 the Cardinal flower?

Bill: What neat flowers you found in the wild. Those moose antlers will grow.

I'm sure you were a natural for that class. The flower pics are beautiful. Wild iris, skyrocket, green gentian, prairie smoke, ?, and calypso orchid. I've never seen #5. Great moose photo!

Janie,

You got all of them right except for #5 - a Leopard )

Great job.

Lovely flowers. I am terrible with names and tend to call them by color - a purple flower, a red flower, etc. haha!
Wonderful moose picture.

I recognize an iris and maybe scarlet gila. But I've never seen a four-eared moose before. What a wonderful class.

Beautiful! Would love to take a class like that. I did recognize the wild iris and I thought the red was Indian Paintbrush but had no idea (even a wrong one) on the others. I was glad to read the answers. Lovely pictures.

I have no idea what they are but they are beautiful.

Nice shots, my thinking was that the first one was some kind of iris, that was as far as I got, thanks to you and Janie for sharing their names.

Beautiful flowers, yet I have no clue as to what they are. The 4 earred moose, wow, what is up with that? Wonder if it can hear twice as well... Have a great week~

Great set of floral images Bill, I think everyone has the same idea at the moment with everything in bloom. Great Moose shot.
